    “Thanks to the browser-based Solteq Utilities CIS, we no longer need multiple separate applications,” says Juha Nurminen, Director at Kajaanin Vesi. “The system enables us to manage customer information, billing, receivables, and reporting, and to exchange data between different systems — for example, remote meter reading is integrated directly into the solution. Using Utilities CIS is easy and fast because of its process-driven design, which supports our customer service team in all their tasks,” Nurminen explains.

    In the system, all routine steps are automated, and relevant information related to each task is available immediately. “When creating a new connection, for example, Utilities CIS asks for exactly the information required for that specific process. When the key process and all tasks are visible in one view, nothing gets forgotten by accident,” Nurminen adds.

    In addition to the core system, Kajaanin Vesi utilizes Solteq’s online service, which allows customers to view their contract, billing information, meter readings, water invoices, and consumption reports. Customers can manually submit readings from non-remote meters, update their customer details, and contact customer service directly if needed. Property managers can also view consumption data for the housing companies they manage.

    “The online service is among the most significant benefits we gained from the system deployment. It allows our customers to reach us and receive service quickly,” Nurminen says.

    Collaboration between Solteq and Kajaanin Vesi has progressed smoothly and continues to do so. “In a few months, our customer will take a new functionality into use — the system’s advanced work order management,” says Tomi Moilanen, Sales Director at Solteq. With work order management, tasks such as meter installations and replacements can be managed in real time in the field. Tasks can be assigned directly to technicians, who can then report completed work immediately.

    “Work order management will allow Kajaanin Vesi to streamline operations, reduce paperwork, and speed up communication between field technicians and the office,” Moilanen notes.
