Solteq Plc has carried out its first international utilities project, which was completed in partnership with Nevel Oy this year. Nevel, which is focused on offering advanced industrial and municipalinfrastructure solutions, was provided with a new customer information system that covers invoicing system and extranet services of Nevel’s Finnish, Swedish and Estonian district heating and wholesale customers. The project, which was kicked off in January 2020, will be completed during December. Solteq issued a press release on the start of the partnership on February 12, 2020*.
The new customer information system will bring Nevel’s 130 energy production plants and 40 district heating networks under a coherent, modern information system. The solution consists of Solteq’s inWorks and inPulse4Utilities products.
Nevel’s new customer information system will serve the company’s customers with, for example, more advanced incident reporting and heating reports as well as more fluent information flows. It will also unify customer data management and invoicing in addition to bringing about benefits of scalability between the countries. Moreover, new district heating networks and properties can easily be added to the system in the future.
“We are extremely happy with this project. It has been implemented professionally and according to the agreed schedule. The new customer information system went into production in Finland in June, in Estonia in November, and in Sweden in December. Solteq’s solution supports our plans for business development and customer service needs,” says Clas Blomberg, who is in charge of municipal infrastructure and production solutions at Nevel.
