The listing measures growth in terms of revenue. Growth was monitored over the last five years. During that period, our revenue increased 397%.
The list was published at the award ceremony on Thursday 21 November. Most of the successful companies on the list were classified as software providers, but data communications and greentech companies were also among the top fifty.
“Our growth has come from corporate acquisitions, but also organically. In 2008 Descom’s revenue was under five million euros, but this year it was close to 40 million. Our growth has been in online stores, analytics, and data center solutions,” says CEO Juha Harju.
“Substantial growth in an uncertain economic environment is encouraging and proof of just how competitive Finnish growth companies can be,” says Jukka-Petteri Suortti, director of Deloitte’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) industry group, in their press release.
Companies successful in the Finnish listing will automatically participate in Deloitte’s EMEA Fast 500 listing, which awards the fastest-growing technology companies in the EMEA area (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa). The results of the EMEA listing will be published on 28 November 2013.
